JR was one of the sweetest and silliest basenjis around. He spent his
entire life at Khani's with his bestest
bud and litter brother "Cap." Cap and JR were the gruesome twosome, never a squabble between them.
JR lived a great life and although lure coursing wasn't his thing (he saw no reason to chase a dumb plastic bag),
he finished his Championship in style with a Best of Breed win from the BBE class over several ranked specials!
JR will
be dearly missed by those that knew him...
and for those that didn't... they missed out on knowing a really great dog.

Frozen semen at ICSB in Oregon.
Groovy was a nearly 8-year old male
that was killed by a cougar on 11/26/2007.
We are sad to hear of his passing,
but also know that Groovy had a happy healthy life and
didn't meet a child, dog, cat or person he didn't like...
His passing brings a sadness to our hearts..
but we do hope to have a Groovy legacy in the future!

Benny lived a full life, earning many accolades along the way...
he garnered 4 Specialty BIS, a Specialty BIF and All-Breed BIF, National Specialty Award of Merit,
as well as earning his AKC Dual Championship, Master Courser and ASFA Field Championship.
It was a delight that he was an AKC Eukanuba Classic Invitee as
the FIRST DUAL CHAMPION Basenji.
Benny was a breeder's dream come true and the light of my life...
his passing will leave a huge hole in our family and our hearts...
truly a Once In A Lifetime dog!!

This was especially hard after the loss of her sister Be La.
Ruka got extremely frightened of a large neighbor dog and fought her way out of the choke chain.
Once free, she was never found.
She was the last of our intact bitches from this litter,
and a sweet loving girl that will be missed deeply.

It is with deep sorrow that we have had to accept the untimely death of our beloved half African princess Be La.
She escaped from the yard and could not outrun the car that hit her.
This was truly a tragic day for us, as she was our lone girl and new love of my life.
Run free Princess Be La...

bunnies with Grandma De La.
We will always love you for the special
girl that you were and will continue to be.

Blue was loved and cherished for nearly 8 years by Stuart and Alise Goforth. They were the strength that kept Blue going through his Fanconi affliction.
Blue will be sorely missed by all. Although
he hated the ring.. he was a Champion to Stuart and Alise.

Duncan was the center of Dan's life..
Dan was more than any breeder could
hope for in a pet owner..
he provided the best of home and vet care to Duncan.
Duncan became afflicted with Fanconi Syndrome in 10/2004. The fanconi complicated his life and health until his demise.

your love of Duncan.

Tana lived in the lap of luxury
having an elegant 'garden'
to lounge in during the day...
and a soft fluffy bed at night..
she love her owner Bernardo and lived
in sunny Mexico..
she was a lovely addition to their home..
until she was killed by a pit bull.
Rest in Peace Dear Tana girl.
Thank you Bernardo for loving Tana like a member of your family.
